The Prima 3 is a dual sided re-transfer colour printer designed for producing very high quality over-edge cards with amazing clarity onto a range of card materials including PVC, PET, ABS, PVH and even cards with an uneven surface. A finished card is free of imperfections and looks far higher in quality than the 300dpi resolution at which it is printed.

Re-transfer works by printing the card image on the reverse of a transparent PVC film which is then laminated onto the face of the card. The result is a card with a finish similar to that achieved by offset litho printing with the advantage that every card can be different.

The Prima uses a SCSI II interface to the PC and each printer is supplied with USB2.

All Magicard printers are covered by two years UltraCoverplus (TM) warranty which includes no quibble printhead cover and a loan printer service. Please note that the Ultracoverplus (TM) warranty is only valid for printer sold into Europe.

Speed is a very high 180 cards per hour (full colour single side) including the data download time from the PC. A dual sided card can be produced in just 60 seconds.

Options include encoding of Philips, MIFARE, DESFire, HID iClass and Legic and a magnetic stripe and smart card encoding. Although each card is laminated as part of the print process and additional laminator as also available for added card durability.

All Printers are supplied with Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP drivers, all cables and a starter cleaning kit.
